just wondering if anyone else has seen the gypsy and the poacher it has two fellas called Joe and Dave in it and its based around 1960 if so what did you think of it :hmm:

Its rubbish...

the dogs looked shite too... Its like a school play..

Best ferreting day time disc i seen was lads from the noth east Ferreting at blanchland.. cant rember the name of the disc got it off a lad on here years ago.. And chippers discs are very good...

hi Giro was it Ferretting and dogging with the boys from Durham or someting like that .

dave platts and joe whooley not keen on this dvd but they did the art of ratting and ratting with plummer terriers and they were well worth a watch

yes i think so, they had lurchers and terriers long nets ect... just work a big feild flushing to nets then ferreted later in the day.. there was also a north east one ferreting and then ran a few hares... Mabie it was old skool who gave me the discs was about 3 years ago..

The one with the long nets at blanchland is by colin hemingway, theres two films , ferreting to longnets , this film was later split in to two films , morning and afternoon. but was originaly one film ;) he also did pro rabbit contol with colin hemingway, at the begining theres a bit about checking drop boxes. ;)

the other films are the stricyly lads, ferreting from part 1 right through to part 6 , theres some coursing on one of them as well. there's quite a bit of bolt and slip the dogs on some of these.

both of chippers are good films, :yes: i like the fact theres plenty of dog work hunting up ect. where as most ferreting films are just ferreting.

luckily i never brought it my did and lent it me. it was the biggest load of shit ever. what was all that crap about at the end with the fight. looked liked they was hugging each other
