got first sheep

got my first sheep on sunday, 4 soay sheep 1 is a 08 shearling 1 is a 07 ewe and her two 3 month old lambs 1 ewe lamb and 1 castrated male.

i hope the pics work o.k as i havent put any up before and if i`m honest i got the misses to do these :D

thanks, i thought that after having our holding for getting on 5 years that it was about time we got some livestock its only been chickens and geese until now.

next i will get a couple of goats then who knows maybe pigs or a house cow, and i`ve always wanted to keep bees to, the first step has been taken theres no stopping me now :D

well thats funny it was dexters we were looking at :)
we have a application for a dwelling to go with a free range chicken farm on our land going in at the end of this month so the cow thing will have to wait till we know if we`ve got permission or not as it will reduce the grazing alot.
how far are you from oxford and how much am i looking at for a cow with calf at foot?

Unfortunately, we're a bit of a trail from Oxford, we're down in Devon, near Exeter. I've got a couple of short leg cows for sale, one with a new long leg bull calf at £500 and one with a nice short leg heifer calf at £650, she's just about to go back to the bull.
