Does anyone here take there dog swimming there a guy that retired form the sport now but lives in a nice house on it s own so he got a swimming pool put in .out his backyard great set up it about 20 feet long and about 15 feet bred he got the full works life jackets lift for the dogs in and out of the pool and current for the dogs to swim again just wondering does anyone else use this kind of thing to build there dog up ? you have to book it because alot of the greyhound men take a lot of his time up :victory:

swimming is a great exercise, for horse, and dogs, tones all there muscles, and just puts that little extra on fitness,

I swim my dogs everyday . . .. it's a fantastic all round exercise that builds fitness without adding too much pressure to joints.

i have a canel behind my house so three of my four swim every day the fourt paddles he dosnt like water much. lol

mine is a well good swimmer but he hates water. The other day he was so bussy chassin a duck in the park, that he forgot all about his fear, went splashin into the pond only to sudenly realise where he was, you should have seen the look on his face!

At least 3 times a week in the summer weather permiting i am well chuffed with my lurcher pup she is swimming out for the dummies with the spaniels but the saluki cross wont have water nomatter how much coaxing it could be a saluki thing cos she is very thin skined.atvb

yes weve got a deep mountain pool on the mountain behind us and go swimming most days in summer with lurchers and even our old terrier likes a paddle

My Cockers swim in the sea most days but they like it better when the tides out they get black in the mud lucky theres a deep bit with a hard gravel beach on the way home.
