Any of you had success with your Ko Shamos hatching their own eggs?
I was talking to a chicken man yesterday who has a life time in fowl and he was moaning about his Ko Shamos laying all over the pen instead of in a clutch. Mine are at this too.
My own were hatched in an incubator.

Howdy Neil, hope your well. I've had a few ko hens sitting their own out this year. They can only manage about 6 eggs but are good mothers once the eggs have hatched.

Things are good Ko Shamo.
Would it be that its pullets I've got and not hens. They're the lovely white birds I got of Stevie.

Woudn't think so mate, try putting a couple of false eggs in the box. I had a bit of trouble at first getting them in the boxes but like Valentino said try and persevere. Put the boxes somewhere where you think the birds will lay.

The whites are good Neil, i sent him some gingers over too and will be sending some duckwing this year. I'm sure some will end up with you ;)

Thats odd, my stags if i take them out the box and handle them then put them back they usually 'feel the need' and do their thing.
