hi all, i am getting some chickens at the end of may and we are building an ark type coop for them the coop its self is about 4 ft at the highest point and 4 ft long 4ft wide. the run is 4ft wide 4ft high and 8ft long (will post a pick when its finished).
i havent keep chickens since i was a kid, but i have read up to refresh my memory and get things right like space etc. i just wondered where you all buy things like feeders and drinkers from and if you were to design your own coop would you add anything to the designs already out there basically anything that i could add to mine before its finished. i have only secured i to its base with four long screws so i can lift it of for cleaning and to treat for red mite etc.

i am getting
a bovan nera
a belle blue
2 Sussex hybrids

thank you in advance for any tips

Need a nest box and some perches (make em all the same height though)and a slide out floor would make cleaning easier. Cyril Bason in craven arms, shrops has all the bits (feeders, drinkers etc) as would farm & pet......... you could always try fleabay too
